Despite its name, shockwae therapy does not use electricity. Instead, it uses precisely focused acoustic (sound) waves that pass through the body’s tissues. These sound waves create a biological response that encourages healing by:

• Upregulating local genetic expression of anti-inflammatory proteins

• Providing pain relief

• Encouraging healthy tissue remodeling
